The Charter
TRUE PIONEER
Sri Noa Noa is a classic teak Phinisi that has been exploring Eastern Indonesia since the 70s, long before surf charters were a thing. Small, intimate, sturdy, and full of character, she carries only a handful of guests and stays far from the crowds. Itineraries roam through the remote East around Sumba, Savu, Rote, and Komodo, and when the time is right, she also hits Sumbawa and Lombok. Captain Heri has been at the helm since 1995 and his knowledge of these waters is unmatched. This is real exploration and you only need a couple of your closest ones to share it with. On our last trip onboard, we truly felt like we were traveling back in time.
Accommodation
Sri Noa Noa sleeps a maximum of 6 guests, which is exactly the point. The boat keeps things simple, comfortable, and uncrowded with 1x queen bed and 5x singles split between the lower deck (3x singles and 1x double) and the airy upper deck (2x singles). New mattresses, natural-fabric sheets, and quality pillows make downtime easy, while a small bathroom inside with shower, toilet and basin plus an outdoor shower and marine toilet keep life onboard straightforward. The upper deck has custom sunbeds with shade, the place everyone ends up after a surf or while cruising, likely with a cold Bintang in hand.

THE SURF
Over 3 decades of experience
The hunt for uncrowded surf is part of Sri Noa Noa's DNA. Since 1993 when Mike Miller discovered Miller’s Right from her deck, the boat has kept finding empty waves across the remote East. Even with a few more charters and some land options around today, Sri Noa Noa still escapes the crowds. Captain Heri has over three decades on board and still has some cards under his sleeve, plus he shoots your sessions from the dinghy. The charter operates different itineraries through March-November aligning with the best conditions to score the East. The mix of waves in these islands is very diverse, catering from advanced to beginner surfers on the same trip. Hit us up for when and where is best for your crew.
THE FOOD
EAT WELL, EVERYDAY
Chef Wayan also accumulates a fair bit of experience in the galley, mastering Indonesian classics and delivering western dishes. Sri Noa Noa keeps things simple and genuinely good with three daily meals, fresh fruit, snacks, juices, soft drinks, and 3 beers per person per day. Expect plenty of grilled fish or sashimi straight from the ocean, always paired with nutritious sides to keep things fresh. Special diets can be catered for too.
EXPERIENCES
Rich, not only on waves
Days on Sri Noa Noa go beyond surfing. These islands are loaded with culture, raw nature, and some of the richest fishing grounds in Indonesia. Expect empty beaches, limestone cliffs, waterfalls, clear reefs, and villages that feel unchanged by time. Between sessions you can snorkel, spear or line fish for dinner, explore remote bays by tender, or hike inland for wild views. With a bit of luck, you might even night-sail through bioluminescent plankton lighting up the wake.
