The Charter
MOVES FAST, GETS BOOKED FASTER
Sibon Jaya is a 70 ft aluminum catamaran built for speed, stability and comfort while chasing Mentawai perfection with ease. Launched in 2015 and run by a super consistent crew that has been together for years, the operation stays sharp. When the winds shift, she can hit speeds up to 13 knots to get you where you need to be, quick. Inside, expect multiple ensuite cabins, comfy beds, quality linens and a cozy saloon when you've had too much sun. The upper deck and shaded bow are the main hangout zones with sofas and bean bags to unwind after a day of perfection. The food is some of the best we have had in the islands and the guides are next level. This one books out early for a reason, hit us up.
Accommodation
Sibon Jaya sleeps up to 12 guests across 4 private ensuite cabins in the lower deck twin hulls plus a larger 4 berth cabin on the upper deck. Two of the lower cabins offer a double and a single bed, and the other two have twin bunk layouts, all with quality mattresses and sheets. There is also a shared toilet and shower at the stern just outside the saloon. This spacious cat maximises functionality and privacy for sleeping with plenty of hangout space for you and your crew. Twin hulls equal stability at anchor, which translates to a good night’s rest.

THE SURF
QUICK MOVES & SMART CALLS
The Mentawais need no intro, but Sibon Jaya makes the most of them. With a fast, stable cat and some of the most dialled teams out here, she gets you to the right wave at the right time. From long playful walls to pristine Indonesian barrels, the guides read conditions and crowds better than most, giving you more shots at those magic empty sessions. Whether you're after the quieter, more playful shoulder months or prime-season solid kegs, you’ll be in very good hands, with a pro photographer to capture it all.
DINING
PROPER FEASTS, EVERY DAY
Sibon Jaya sets the bar high for food onboard Ments charters. Chef Joseph has been on the boat for over a decade and it shows with sushi, sashimi, nigiri, ceviche, lamb roasts, barbecues, tacos and light, digestible lunches that keep you surfing. Breakfasts are made to order and snacks, fruits, soft drinks, juices, hot drinks, and 24 beers per guest per trip are always included. Easily some of the best meals we’ve had floating around the islands.
EXPERIENCES
ISLAND TIME DONE RIGHT
When you’re not surfing, Sibon Jaya keeps the days full. The crew is big on fishing and the boat carries a proper setup, so trolling, casting or spearfishing for dinner is always on the cards. The vessel runs smoothly so you’ll often see the mechanic, Pak Madruga, with a rod in hand. You can snorkel clear reefs, paddle the SUPs or kayaks around quiet bays, or jump ashore to check local villages and empty beaches. Afternoons drift into deck hangs, swims, and sunset beers that remind you why you came out here in the first place.
