MV Addiction is one of the fastest, most stable, and most dialled surf charters in Sumatra. A 24m aluminium catamaran re-powered in 2025, built for range and comfort, reaching the most remote breaks in the Mentawais, Telos, and Banyaks with ease. Despite its size, trips run with just 8 guests as standard. Multiple chill-out zones, a big top deck for sunset beers, and two tenders let you split groups or go fishing. With two decades of local knowledge at the helm and the same crew onboard for nearly a decade, the operation runs like a Swiss watch. Expect incredible surf, good calls, and proper wave hunting led by some of Indo’s most experienced captains.

"MV Addiction sleeps up to 12 guests, with 8 as standard across five air-conditioned cabins. There’s a 4-bed dorm with two bunks, three double cabins with a lower double and upper single, and a separate twin bunk room. Every cabin includes comfortable beds, personal storage, and cool A/C after long days in the sun. The shared spaces include a large indoor dining area, shaded lounging zones, and an open deck for sunset beers or early morning coffees. There’s plenty of board storage and space to relax between surfs. With dedicated board storage, shaded hangout zones, and an open-plan layout, MV Addiction is the perfect vessel for life at sea. "

Lunch and dinner feature a mix of Indonesian and Western dishes, freshly prepared by Chef Tony who keeps surprising guests and is happy to accommodate requests. Catch a fish and it’ll be grilled that night. Each trip includes 20 cases of Bintang to share. Dietary needs can be catered for with notice.

The relaxed onboard vibe makes it easy to recharge between surfs. With starlink internet onboard it’s easy to catch up on a little work or with your family and friends at home during some down time. After so much surfing, the spacious and cozy AC living room is the place to relax with a book, music or a movie.
