The Resort
SURF LONGER
Hidden Bay is a surf resort in the Northen Mentawai region built around one clear idea: surf more and surf better. This is not just another resort near some of the best waves in the world, it’s a performance-focused base designed to help you make the most of every session. Amazing suites, orthopaedic mattresses, structured stretching, balanced nutrition and daily video reviews all fine-tune body and technique. With world-class breaks in every direction and over a decade of local knowledge behind the operation, this is paradise for surfers who want to push limits. The Sikerei Restaurant, the largest traditional-style building in the area, is a work of art and a spacious hub to relax, stretch and hang.

THE SURF
IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALL
There is nowhere quite like the Northern Mentawai Islands. The number of top quality surf breaks in close distances, facing every direction, is unmatchable worldwide. Plus, the wide exposure to any Indian Ocean swell and different orientations for any wind direction means there's pretty much always a good wave (and likely more than one) around the corner. Hidden Bay sits in the heart of the region with Hideaways, one of our favourite lefts in the world, less than 5 minutes away. With over 12 years of operating on the islands and splitting boats by levels, your chances of scoring are as high as they get.
DINING
GOOD FOOD. GOOD DAYS.
Hidden Bay’s restaurant is part of what makes this place feel special. Inspired by local flavours and built around real food that supports performance, the menu leans on fresh fish, seasonal produce and balanced plates that keep you charged for long days in the water. Breakfasts are made to order, lunches stay light and energising, and dinners bring a mix of Mediterranean, Asian, Brazilian and island dishes with plenty of veg and smartly paired proteins. Special diets are easily handled. Shared meals are relaxed and social, with sitting areas that invite conversation at Sikerei Restaurant. A grilled fish at the beach is another highlight and often part of the plan on more remote missions.
EXPERIENCES
RESET & RECOVERY
Mornings can start with guided stretching or physio sessions with the Pilates team to wake the body up properly. Evening sessions help loosen up before dinner. The reef-protected bay out front is perfect for snorkelling and SUP, and guests can even plant coral as part of the resort's reef restoration project. Behind the resort, jungle trails lead to waterfalls just minutes away and are a nice way to explore the island. Fishing is always on the cards as well. Slowing down, stepping away from noise and reconnecting with nature is all part of the experience here.
