The resort features stunning villas and bungalows built with reclaimed timber and stone, offering an eco-conscious experience that doesn’t compromise on comfort. All rooms feature A/C and views of The Peak, right in front of the resort. Choose from the more comfortable Single / Double Rooms or the Private Villa, which together comprises of Villa Java and Villa Bali. Rooms include private bathrooms and open living spaces cooled by the sea breeze. Whether you’re travelling solo, with friends, or as a family, the resort offers a variety of room types to suit. The resort also features a shared lounge, yoga studio, infinity pool and plenty of space to relax between sessions.

Depending on the swell, this can be fun for a range of surfers. You can check the lineup from your bed, paddle out in minutes, and spend more time in the water. Mahi Mahi also offers guided access to nearby waves across Simeulue and neighbouring islands, with dozens of options from playful beach breaks to hollow reef setups and cruisy walls. Expect fragrant Indonesian curries, nasi goreng, famous fire pit wood-grilled fish. Vegan and vegetarian options are always available, with dietary needs happily catered for. Fresh coconuts, juices, and smoothies are available all day, alongside daily baked treats and Mahi Mahi’s signature raw chocolate. Meals are served in the open-air dining pavilion overlooking the surf.

EXPERIENCES
FROM YOGA TO WATERFALLS
This is a Surf Trip. However, if you are looking for something on the side, there’s more to Mahi Mahi than just waves. On rest days you explore nearby waterfalls, hike lush jungle trails, or visit local villages for a glimpse into traditional Simeulue life. Wifi is available throughout the resort and the staff can also arrange fishing trips, snorkelling, island excursions, and wildlife tours. The open-air yoga studio is the perfect place for morning stretches or sunset sessions with daily guided classes free for all. The stand out features of the resort are a 9-hole pitch-and-putt golf course, a volleyball court, a cozy fire-pit for bonfires and of course the stunning infinty pool and pool table overlooking the waves.

Ideal for solo travellers, this private room is located on the lower floor of the bungalow. It features air conditioning, a western-style bathroom, and a hot water shower for comfort after a day in the surf.

JAVA VILLA MAHI MAHI
Villa Java and Villa Bali are the two floors of one standalone main villa. Together, they can host up to 9 guests, or you can book a single floor separately. Designed for up to five guests, the Java Villa includes three air-conditioned rooms and two bathrooms with hot showers. One room features a king bed, the second can be set up with twin or king beds, and the third has a single bed. The middle room can also serve as a lounge if unused at night. Three balconies offer incredible ocean views.
