The Charter
FLEXIBILITY & COMFORT THROUGH FIJI
Quixotic Charters is a strong platform to explore every corner of Fiji, including the best surf the country has to offer. This 43ft South African-built sailing catamaran suits families, couples, or a small crew of friends who want real comfort without giving up flexibility to roam, water time, amazing food and good times across Fiji's pristine reefs & islands. While Quixotic isn’t a dedicated surf boat, we work with the top local surf guides and have run genuinely epic surf-focused charters, with plenty more happening beyond the waves. She’s stable at anchor, has loads of space to unwind, and is run hands-on by the owner, who is often at the helm with his partner running the galley. Alternatively, highly qualified local crew run trips. You’ll be in very good hands.
Accommodation
Quixotic sleeps up to six guests across three queen staterooms, each fitted with quality linens, ensuite bathrooms, reading lights and the choice of air con or fresh trade winds through open hatches. The setup suits families, three mates or one to three couples who want proper rest between long days on the water. At over seven metres wide, this Voyage Norseman 430 feels steady at anchor and surprisingly roomy, with space to spread out between the indoor saloon, cockpit and the mix of shaded and open chill zones up front.

THE SURF
CLOUDBREAK & BEYOND
Quixotic opens the door to Fiji’s full surf playground. Your menu covers the breaks around the Mamanuca Islands, including Restaurants, Swimming Pools, Desperations, Namotu Left, Wilkes Passage, Tavarua Right and of course the South Pacific’s crown jewel, Cloudbreak. The barrel of a lifetime is very much on the cards, but there’s plenty on offer for non-chargers too, with playful, user-friendly waves in the mix. When the season lines up, missions further north or southeast open even more options beyond the classics. We'll top up your charter with one of the best local surf guides in the country, so you can make the most of whatever the South Pacific throws your way.
DINING
Local Produce, Well-Travelled Hands
Eating onboard Quixotic is a big part of the experience. Jennie runs or directs the galley with superyacht-level skill and years of blue-water sailing behind her, cooking food that’s fresh, colourful, and genuinely good to eat day after day. Menus lean on local Fijian fish and produce, mixed with global influences and clean flavours. Breakfasts are made to order, lunches stay light and energising, and dinners turn into proper sit-down affairs with seafood, slow-cooked meats, and plant-forward plates. Snacks, including Mediterranean platters, are a moment to look forward to. Dietary needs are handled with ease. Food is indeed another of the highlights of the trip.
EXPERIENCES
NATURE'S PLAYGROUND
Life onboard Quixotic goes well beyond surfing. Between sessions you can snorkel clear reefs, paddle kayaks through lagoons, do some serious fishing, anchor up for swims in places most people never reach, or explore remote islands by tender, including the island where Castaway was filmed. The sailing itself is part of the experience too, sometimes even accompanied by dolphins swimming on your side. Slow mornings under sail, quiet bays, and sunsets that can blow one's mind. There is also a floating bar in the middle of the ocean worth visiting. Whether you’re chasing adventure or just letting the day unfold, Quixotic gives you the space and freedom to enjoy Fiji, properly.
