The Resort
NORTH MALE, DONE PROPERLY
Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is right in the middle of the action in North Male. This stunning luxury resort has a traditional Maldivian style, with ninety thatched pavilions and overwater villas, four restaurants, and a spa island of its own. A classic Maldives experience with the brand you can trust. An on-site surf team runs guided boat trips out to the world-class reef breaks just minutes from the resort, with guiding and lessons for every level available as well. With a full family and kids program, a Marine Discovery Centre running turtle and coral work, and a house reef right off the beach for snorkelling and easy dives. Just twenty five minutes by speedboat from Male, close enough to feel easy, remote enough to feel like a proper island escape.
Accommodation
Ninety six villas and suites, all with private pools, split between beachfront pavilions and overwater villas on stilts above the lagoon. The Deluxe Beach Pavilion suits couples wanting sand underfoot, while Sunrise and Sunset Water Villas put you straight over the reef with steps down into the lagoon. Families and groups can spread out in the Two and Three-Bedroom Water Suites, or the newly added Three-Bedroom Kuda Estate, a standalone villa built for up to nine. Every room mixes thatched roofs and natural materials with proper Four Seasons comfort.
THE SURF
IT'S FAMOUS FOR A REASON
Kuda Huraa sits inside the most wave-rich pocket of North Male, with Sultans, the resort's closest wave and one of the best in the Maldives, just five minutes out by boat. Honky's peels left off the same island and all the other North Male gems are within easy reach. The resort's own surf guides run the whole operation, from lagoon lessons through to advanced coaching, guiding and strike missions to South Male. If you are looking for the reliability of Four Seasons in one of the most wave-rich areas of the world, you've found it.
DINING
FOUR RESTAURANTS, ENDLESS CHOICES
Kuda Huraa has built a real name for its food, led by Baraabaru, the over-water Indian restaurant that's become one of the most famous in the Maldives. Reef Club keeps things more casual with wood-fired pizza and seafood pasta by the water, and Café Huraa offers an Asian fusion menu looking out over the pool and ocean. Kandu Grill handles the classics, fresh fish and cuts grilled right on the shoreline, with a Maldivian barbecue night every Friday. Round it out with sunset cocktails and in-villa dining any hour.
EXPERIENCES
FOR THE WHOLE CREW
Between surf sessions, there's a private spa island reached by traditional dhoni boat, a Marine Discovery Centre running coral and turtle conservation work, and a house reef right off the beach for snorkelling and easy dives. Kids have their own club and programming, there's a tennis academy for those who want a break from the water, and dolphin cruises run most evenings. Whether that's an afternoon at the spa or an evening watching dolphins from the bow, there's always another way to fill the day.
