The Charter
8 CABINS. 31M. ONLY 7 GUESTS NEEDED
Flying Fish punches well above her price point, delivering space, practicality and value. At 31 metres, she feels open and stable, giving everyone room to spread out, even with 12 guests onboard. The biggest advantage is the base rate of just 7 guests, despite comfortably accommodating 12 to 14 guests across 8 cabins. A dedicated surf dhoni, paired with a smaller dinghy, delivers surf logistics you'd normally expect from larger charters. Following a full renovation in 2023, everything feels fresh, clean and well looked after. A fantastic crew completes the package, making Flying Fish one of the best value mid-range charters for exploring every atoll in the Maldives.
Accommodation
Eight air-conditioned cabins give everyone room to spread out and recharge after long days in the ocean. The layout includes six triple cabins with an upper single and lower double bed, plus two double cabins, all with ensuite bathrooms and hot showers. The design and rooms are practical but with nice touches, especially after the recent renovation. There's plenty of room for boards, gear and downtime without ever feeling cramped. The social layout is perfect for sharing stories over a cold Tiger beer, while still offering a couple of quiet corners to reset.
Technical Specifications
THE SURF
FLEXIBILITY IS KEY
Flying Fish is built to roam, with the freedom to cruise across the Maldives and position yourself wherever the swell, wind and tide align best. From North Malé to the Central and deeper Southern Atolls, all areas are possible. One trip can be all about long, wrapping walls, faster barrelling sections, or a mix of both. The real advantage comes with the dedicated surf dhoni and additional dinghy. This setup lets your group split between breaks, opening up far more options. To really make the most of it, we'll arrange one of our favourite local surf guides to call the best shots.
DINING
SURFERS' BUFFET
Dining onboard is flexible and built around your day. Meals are timed around the best surf windows, and all requests taken seriously. Breakfast and lunch are fresh and easy, while dinner is usually a generous buffet served inside or out on deck. Expect a solid mix of Maldivian dishes and familiar international favourites, exactly what you want after hours in the water. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day, and come sunset, the bartenders are always happy to mix up a surprisingly good cocktail or crack open a cold beer.
EXPERIENCES
CAST, DIVE, EXPLORE
When the swell dips or your body calls for a break, Flying Fish keeps the experience going. Snorkelling gear opens up the reefs below, with the option to go deeper using the full diving setup onboard, available for a supplement and guided by the experienced team. The spacious decks offer plenty of room to stretch, relax, and watch the horizon. Another standout is the full fishing setup onboard, something rarely found on a boat in this category. Alongside traditional Maldivian hand lines, you'll find jigging, popping and trolling gear ready to go. Drop a line between sessions or troll on longer crossings. It's another reason Flying Fish punches well above her price point.
